Info 04/12/2008 A great year, great performances, a large General Meeting! On November 30, the CMR held its Annual General Meeting in the training school. It was a great moment and if my memory serves me correctly this is our largest assembly. And this is a challenge for a club such as ours of which one of the features is to have all members in attendance. It appears that the revival of the invitation (with 3 attempts) has proved worthwhile. And there could have been more of us if memory failure had not prevented a new member from joining us; I renew all my apologies to him. On Sunday evening, I took stock: in 2008, we had 43 members, 6 are leaving us but 2 of them attended. 5 sent their apologies and only 6 were unaware of this meeting. We must therefore be satisfied that we are on the right track but remain vigilant as one should not become complacent. After the meeting it was also a great time because at the request of some members, our best representatives had brought along their marvellous planes; one could discover details of a Slope Soaring Glider with magnetic guidance (F1E), a model for Team-Racing control line (F2C) and a hand launched glider with radio controlled flight (F3K). I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the members of the CMR that were present at the AGM and those who were excused. I would also like to thank François et Michèle Venec, Président et Secrétaire du Comité Régional and Jean Louis Pinaud Président du Comité Départemental for thier presence and support. It is during these meetings that the important decisions are made which enhances the life of the club, thus the presence of each one of us is important.Serge DELABARDE |
